The multi-part wall relief is composed of matte white biscuit porcelain tiles, painted in the pâte-sur-pâte technique. The striking octopus design stretches across four tiles, exuding a special sense of calm. On request, these tiles can also be crafted with a custom design. Pâte-sur-pâte is the name given to the technique in which liquid porcelain is used to paint on the unfired shards. Even the smallest details, such as the suction cups on the tentacles, can be depicted using the fine squirrel hair brushes. The more layers the painters apply, the higher and denser the relief becomes and, depending on the incidence of light, it appears stronger or weaker.
